I. General Terms
1.1 The MaiBot project (including MaiBot's source code, executable files, documentation, and other files listed in this agreement) (hereinafter referred to as "this project") is maintained by developers and contributors (hereinafter referred to as "the project team") to provide users with automatic reply functionality robot code project. The following End User License Agreement (EULA, hereinafter referred to as "this agreement") is the contractual conditions between the user (hereinafter referred to as "You") and the project team regarding the use of this project.
1.2 Before running or using this project, you must read and agree to all terms of this agreement. Minors or other persons without/with limited civil capacity must read and agree to this agreement under the supervision of a guardian. If you do not agree, you may not run or use this project. In this case, you should immediately uninstall or delete this project and all its copies from your device.
II. License Authorization
Source Code License
2.1 You understand that this project's source code is released under the GPLv3 (GNU General Public License version 3) open source license. You may freely use, modify, distribute this project's source code, but must comply with GPLv3 license requirements. For details, please refer to the LICENSE file in the project repository.
2.2 You understand that this project's source code may contain third-party open source code, and these codes' licenses may differ from the GPLv3 license. You agree to comply with the corresponding license requirements when using these codes.
Input/Output Content Authorization
2.4 You understand that this project uses your configuration information, submitted instructions (hereinafter referred to as "input content") and generated content (hereinafter referred to as "output content") to build requests sent to third parties to generate replies.
2.4 You authorize this project to use your input and output content according to the project's privacy policy for the following actions:
- Calling third-party APIs to generate replies;
- Calling third-party APIs to build knowledge bases and memory bases specific to this project stored in the database you use;
- Calling third-party developed plugin system functions;
- Collecting and recording logs specific to this project stored on your device;
2.4 You understand that this project's source code contains third-party API calling code, and the use of these APIs may be subject to third-party service terms and privacy policies. When using these APIs, you must comply with the corresponding service terms.
2.5 The project team is not responsible for the service quality, stability, accuracy, or security of third-party APIs, nor responsible for third-party API service changes, termination, restrictions, or other actions.
III. User Conduct
3.1 You understand that this project will send your configuration information, input instructions, and generated content to third parties. You should not include the following content in input instructions and generated content:
- Data involving any national or regional secrets, trade secrets, or other data that may adversely affect national or regional security or public interests;
- Data involving personal privacy, personal information, or other sensitive information;
- Any content infringing upon others' legitimate rights and interests;
- Any content violating national or regional laws, regulations, or policy provisions;
3.2 You should not use this project for the following purposes:
- Actions violating any national or regional laws, regulations, or policy provisions;
3.3 You should ensure the legality and compliance of your input and output content stored in this project's knowledge bases, memory bases, and logs, as well as the legality and compliance of the storage behavior. You bear sole responsibility for any legal liabilities arising therefrom.
3.4 Regarding third-party plugin usage, you should not:
- Install or use any third-party plugins from unknown sources or unverified sources;
- Use any third-party plugins violating laws, regulations, policy provisions, or third-party platform rules;
3.5 You should ensure the legality and compliance of third-party plugins you install and use, as well as the legality and compliance of installation and usage behavior. You bear sole responsibility for any legal liabilities arising therefrom.
3.6 Since this project will send your input instructions and generated content to third parties, when you use this project in third-party communication environments (such as private chats with others besides yourself, group chats, forums, live streams, etc.), you should clearly inform other communication participants about this project's usage situation in advance, including but not limited to:
- This project's output content is generated by artificial intelligence;
- This project will send communication content to third parties;
- This project's privacy policy and user conduct requirements;
You bear sole responsibility for any consequences and legal liabilities arising therefrom.
3.7 The project team does not encourage nor support using this project for commercial purposes. However, if you indeed need to use this project for commercial purposes, you should indicate the project address (such as "This project is powered by MaiBot (https://github.com/Mai-with-u/MaiBot)"), and bear sole responsibility for any legal liabilities arising therefrom.
IV. Disclaimer
4.1 This project's output content relies on third-party APIs, is not controlled by the project team, and does not represent the project team's views.
4.2 Except for the privacy policy mentioned in clause 2.4 of this agreement, the project team will not provide any form of guarantee to you, nor be responsible for any direct or indirect consequences caused by using this project.
4.3 Regarding third-party plugins, the project team declares:
- The project team does not provide any form of warranty or guarantee for any third-party plugin's functionality, security, stability, compliance, or suitability;
- The project team is not responsible for any direct or indirect consequences arising from using third-party plugins;
- The project team is not responsible for third-party plugin quality issues, technical support, bug fixes, or other matters. For related issues, you should contact the plugin developer directly;
V. Other Terms
5.1 The project team has the right to modify this agreement's terms at any time, but has no obligation to notify you. The modified agreement will be pushed in new versions of this project. You should regularly check the latest version of this agreement.
5.2 The project team reserves the final interpretation right of this agreement.

I. Risk Warnings
1.1 Privacy Security Risks
- This project will send your configuration information, input instructions, and generated content to third-party APIs, and these APIs' service quality, stability, accuracy, and security are not controlled by the project team.
- This project will collect your input and output content to build knowledge bases and memory bases specific to this project, to improve reply accuracy and coherence.
Therefore, to protect your privacy information security, please note the following:
- Avoid using this project in environments involving personal privacy, personal information, or other sensitive information;
- Avoid using this project in untrusted environments;
1.2 Mental Health Risks
This project is only a tool-type robot and does not possess emotional interaction capabilities. Users are advised to:
- Avoid over-reliance on AI replies to handle real-world problems or emotional distress;
- If feeling psychological discomfort, please seek professional psychological counseling services promptly;
- If encountering psychological distress, please seek professional help (National Psychological Assistance Hotline: 12355);
1.3 Third-party Plugin Risks
This project's plugin system allows loading third-party developed plugins, which may bring the following risks:
- Security Risks: Third-party plugins may contain malicious code, security vulnerabilities, or unknown security threats;
- Stability Risks: Plugins may cause system crashes, performance degradation, or functional abnormalities;
- Privacy Risks: Plugins may collect, transmit, or leak your personal information and data;
- Compliance Risks: Plugin functionality or behavior may violate relevant laws, regulations, or platform rules;
- Compatibility Risks: Plugins may conflict with the main program or other plugins;
Therefore, when using third-party plugins, please be sure to:
- Only obtain and install plugins from trusted sources;
- Carefully understand plugin functionality, permissions, and developer information before installation;
- Regularly check and update installed plugins;
- If discovering abnormal plugin behavior, immediately stop using and uninstall;
II. Other
2.1 Dispute Resolution
- This agreement is governed by Chinese law, with disputes submitted to relevant regional courts for jurisdiction;
- If disputes arise due to GPLv3 license, the official license interpretation shall prevail.
